Years of imagining what it would be like, walking in someone else’s shoes, has led to the conclusion that one’s own footwear are the most comfortable. They are all the better for reaching places and getting things done.
Enchantment, magic, glamour and all the flashy feelings are felt personally and are therefore relative. One man’s cool is another one’s naff or nerdy.
The same idea could be applied to notions of capability, competence and brilliance.
Agency, power and ability exist in more abundance than many folks might think.
There are no shortcuts however. What would happen if disaffected people were willing to reassess their priorities?
