Faced with a choice at a ticket barrier, I decided to look for a way of squeezing under it to reach the other side.

I’ve seen this happen at Gare du Nord in Paris, late at night. It seemed as if no one was willing to pay the price of the journey on the metro.

Is it fair to suggest that the prices some of us are expected to pay to get a move on in life are extortionate?

Shouldn’t there be opportunities for negotiation?

After playing by the rules imposed by others for so long, there are times when a person might want to try different approaches.
