In the lingo spoken in old Hollywood movies, ‘so long’ was a way of saying farewell.
People come and go in our lives. When they appear to be well adjusted and sensible, we assume that they will do many of the usual things that folks do.
In some cases, a person has the guts and focus to follow dreams and passions, regardless of how unusual these might be.
It is sobering and saddening to witness journeys being cut short.
One can only hope that the exploration carries on in the plane that follows.
