Fairness and justice seemed to gain the upper hand for a while. In that euphoric moment, no one thought about dealing with the motives of those who were overruled.
Time and patience have their ways of creeping up to teach lessons. We’re currently in the process of learning some fundamental truths about human nature.
Some people resort to turning matters upside down when no one else is keeping an eye on what’s going on. Others believe that ‘might is right’ and ride roughshod over others, in plain sight.
What is to be done? Surely balance can be restored. Our forebears did it in the past, time and time again.
All we need are the guts and wits to take on the bad actors.
