Trailblazers of yore should be remembered with reverence. Human beings are not perfect. Memories should take this into account.
Sometimes figures of historical significance are not given enough space in the hearts and minds of their descendants and it is fair enough that this should be rectified, wherever possible.
But what about the present moment? Is it not possible that we might make new discoveries and invent new things?
Ancestors provide inspiration as each of us faces the present and the future.
A balanced view of events is helpful.
