In some cultures, a lot of emphasis is placed on following the advice of elders. In others, there is an understanding that we all need to find our own ways and means of fulfilling potential.
Wisdom and intelligence are not necessarily linked to age as much we would like to think they are.
Curiosity, openness to learning and application of knowledge to problem solving are indicators of being consciously aware.
Some of us are fortunate enough to know this at some point in our lives.
