Setting out on a journey, the wayfarer is usually clear about the baggage he or she is supposed to carry.
Folks from some cultures often make matters more complicated than they need to be, when they ask travellers to deliver goods to other people, on arrival at their destinations.
Adjusting the lens of a camera to widen one’s focus, it becomes apparent that people who have experienced several generations’ worth of subjugation and conditioning are wont to carry even more extraneous cargoes than they need to.
The weight of the load becomes a major distraction that blocks the hapless wayfarer from reaching true potential.
By ‘n’ by, I’m going to lay down my heavy load…. Indeed!
